Client: BBC
Project: Crimewatch Live mobile tv studio / incident room
Where: Mainland UK
When: Summer 2016
As part of the BBC PSL, we were approached by the BBC to hire and build a mobile tv studio / incident room for a new series of Crimewatch Live!
Working alongside the BBC's design agencies, who were responsible for the concept, SES carried out extensive refurbishment to the interior and exterior of the exhibition trailer which included a full graphic wrap.
The existing trailer, Titan 52, is one of four new hire units recently added to the SES hire fleet. SES have added these four exhibition trailers to their extensive range of specialised vehicles as they are all fully equipped with expanding pods, fitted silent generators, air-conditioning and all ready to be hired out on short or long term projects.
The unit was a blank canvas to begin with, and the SES workshop were tasked with fitting new flooring and lighting, as well as electrical fit out with modification to the steps and platform of the vehicle.
SES also had the pleasure of hosting a full set up and rehearsal of the show, with CTV broadcast units present at the SES Northamptonshire site, which proved a great success.
SES has provided the BBC with a complete roadshow management package: This included the trailer hire, refitting to the required specifications, as well as the operational team management of experienced crew and SES tractor unit to fully operate the unit on the road as well as during the live broadcast.
